I followed the Blender Guru's video tutorial for expanding my knowledge on what I already have in Blender and have learned a lot from his tutorial. Definitely check him out if you haven't, he is very good at explaining stuff in depth. I wanted to follow this tutorial as I have made objects in Blender already but, I feel like I didn't know the software as well as I do with Maya and 3DS Max. Like I knew what he was doing for the majority of the tutorial videos because I find 3D Art very transferable across multiple softwares and you get to find out which ones have strengths and weaknesses in different areas. However, knowing what he was talking about and actually knowing how to do it in a different software is the point I am trying to make as the programs are similar, they have slight differences in the way they work.
I also did this tutorial to get used to the Blender controls as I had an addon that literally turned the program into Maya and I was getting too comfortable with that as Maya is my preferable software but, I am not longer a student and do not wish to pay for it.
Either way, here is my Blender Donut.
I also think this is how I am going to showcase my models from now on as it seems like such a clean method to have it do a spin with some nice Geo Nodes falling in the background. The reason why I decide this is because I am focusing on getting projects done alongside work now to fully flesh out my portfolio and I feel like I want to do some post apocalyptic scenes.
